This is Moon also known as Mr Moon.
Moon was the first ever bunny we took on in September 2020 after initially getting 2 girls from a "breeder" in July 2020 which, looking back, kind of knew no different but now I would only ever have rescue rabbits. The 2 girls we got, had managed to find a gap in the fence and went next door where Mr Moon lived. That's when I met him. I stood in their garden for 2 hours that evening after getting the girls back and filling the gap in the fence and held Moon & my heart instantly fell in heart with someone so precious
Mr Moon was very loved by 2 young girls and their mum but he wasn't getting all the attention he needed. After meeting Mr Moon for the first time in August 2020 the family of Mr Moon made the decision a month later and asked if I would like Mr Moon to give him the attention and company he needed. They realised life was getting more & more busy and less time could be offered, They knew he was going to be so well cared for. I wasn't saying no to the boy who stole my heart ! At the time he entered our life I didn't realise I needed him as much as he needed us but this boy helped heal me from all my pain and trauma I had been through. Starting to devote my time to him, building a love that I still carry around with me to this day.
Mr Moon wasn't only the apple to my eye, but he was the eye opener that many needed help. Exactly 4 years ago today this bun, the Angel, my Mr Moon passed away in our arms I remember knocking our neighbours, his previous family's door after he passed to let them know and broke down in tears on their doorstep. Moon was with us just 4 months before he passed away. In that time he taught us so much, loved as hard as he could, and healed me more than he would have ever known. I cannot express enough the failure I felt when he left this world, feeling like I had failed him and his previous family who put their trust in me to care for him.
Mr Moon is the bunny behind our logo and the reason why our special little slogan reads "many moons to come". Because without Moon there wouldn't be an us today, because without Moon we wouldn't have seen hundreds of rabbits these past 4 and a half years
